FabriqWise is built to run entirely on your device. It does not have a server, does not collect your data, and does not track you. This policy explains exactly what that means.

The short version: everything happens locally in your browser. No personal data, browsing history, or fabric lookups are collected, transmitted, sold, or shared with anyone, including us. There is no analytics, no account, and no backend.

What the extension does

When you open a product page, FabriqWise reads the fabric composition already present on that page, matches each material against a reference that ships inside the extension, and shows a score and plain-language explanations. All of this runs on your device.

Information we collect

None. FabriqWise has no servers and makes no network requests of its own. It cannot, and does not, send your browsing, the pages you view, the materials you look up, or anything else off your device.

Information stored on your device

Your settings (the scoring factors you prioritize and any weights you adjust) are saved using Chrome’s local storage so the extension can score garments the way you care about. They stay on your device and are never transmitted. You can clear them any time by resetting your settings or uninstalling the extension.

To find and score a fabric composition, the extension reads the text of the product page you are viewing, in your browser, at the moment you view it. This text is processed locally to produce the score and explanations, and is never stored or sent anywhere. The broad site access the extension requests exists solely so it can do this on whatever store you shop.

How the score is produced

The 1-to-5 score is calculated on your device from the fabric composition on the page and the weights you have set. It is generated locally each time and is not recorded, transmitted, or associated with you in any way.

What FabriqWise does not do

No analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.
No accounts, logins, or identifiers.
No selling or sharing of data (there is no data to sell).
No advertising.
